Toilet Humor

As some of you may or may not know, I am a theatrical technician, and I am currently working on a show where I need to locate a toilet. So in my digressive nature, i did a little digging in to some lavatory related current events. Enjoy.

Moundsville, West Virginia is apparently not only a hotbed for crime, but the site of a blooming breed of criminal masterminds. The mafia crime-lord Johnny Snodgrass once again proved that by stealing a purse containing $45 dollars and then proceeded to hide from the police in a port-a-potty:

Police looking for a purse snatcher were able to flush the suspect out from the
portable toilet where he was hiding.
"A Port-A-Potty is not a good place to
hide," police Chief James Kudlak said Wednesday. "There's only one way out."
Johnny Snodgrass, 21, apparently matched the description of a man caught on
videotape at a store where an 89-year-old woman's purse was stolen in March and
from a nearby video poker establishment where her wallet was found, police said.
The thief got away with about $45.
Acting on a tip, police went to a
construction site where Snodgrass was working on Monday to question him, but he
ran into the portable restroom. Officers yelled for him to come out and he soon
complied, police said.
Snodgrass was being in jail on $5,000 bond on
Wednesday. He's scheduled to appear before a magistrate on April 25.
Kudlak
said Snodgrass claims he is innocent.
Court officials said Snodgrass did not
yet have an attorney.

Speaking of toilets, have fun with this one. I will just go on record by saying after my 10+ years working with electrics, I have never once run into this problem:

Japan's leading toilet maker Toto Ltd. is offering free repairs for 180,000
bidet toilets after wiring problems caused several to catch fire, the company
said Monday. The electric bidet accessory of Toto's Z series caught fire in
three separate incidents between March 2006 and March 2007, according to company
spokeswoman Emi Tanaka. The bidet sent up smoke in 26 other incidents, the
company said. "Fortunately, nobody was using the toilets when the fire broke out
and there were no injuries," Tanaka said. "The fire would have been just under
your buttocks." The company will repair 180,000 toilet units manufactured
between May 1996 and December 2001 for free, she said. A manufacturing defect is
thought to have led to the faulty wiring. Toto has been a pioneer in high-tech
toilets fitted with pressurized water sprayers a standard fixture in Japanese
homes. The popular Z series features a pulsating massage spray, a power dryer,
built-in-the-bowl deodorizing filter, the "Tornado Wash" flush and a lid that
opens and closes automatically
. Prices range from $1,680 to $2,600. The model is
not sold overseas.

I need to say, I am not really sure why they made the last paragraph sounds like a Sears sales pitch. Though if you do purchase one, make sure you ask for the model with the heated seat.
